This Clip Is has Room Tone / Wild Track - the definition of Room Tone And Wild Track is the sound effects in the background e.g cups clashing, car horns, people talking and cutlery.
It Also Has Empathetic sound - Empathetic sound helps to create a mood which the scene in the film is depicting for example: happy music for a happy scene.

.PSD Keeps the layers saved on photo shop.

Today we had to strip a movie by taking the sound effects out and replacing them with our own.
We got to look on free sound ^ which is the picture above, to get sound effects for our movie. i also recorded sounds from home and im also going to add them to my movie with the free sound effects.

Today we went onto photo shop and learned how to create a different back ground and turn one photo into four different ways as in horizontally and vertically.






1. how i did this

  • I chose a picture of my choice.
  • Then i changed its auto levels.
  • I used the magic wand on photo shop to select the back ground of my original photo and coloured  the background white.
  • I then cropped my image to a decent size.
  • Then i put the image to the top left by double clicking on the layer and setting it to top left.
  • Then i increased the canvas size.
  • Then i duplicated the picture to get all four pictures then i changed them to vertical or horizontally.

Friday 23rd september Johns class

Today we learned how to use an MP3 recorder called Roland our task was to get into groups and walk around asking people to do a quick recording about The Helix Programme 4 interviews minimum. We came back to the class and put the recording onto the computers then listened to them through Itunes.

We then watched a video clip about sound in the game industry learning about how the record real life noises and transfer them into the scenes of the game.

Synchronous sounds - Synchronous sounds are sound which are synchronised compatible with what is viewed. E.g a scene of a waterfall, sound of pouring water in the background. The sound get recorded and mixed in with the video clip.

Asynchronous sound - In a close-up which the surrounding can not be seen a sound scoops into the shot sometimes can be mysterious. This also collects rich opportunities for effects of force and surprise.

Empathetic sound - Empathetic sound helps to create a mood which the scene in the film is depicting for example: happy music for a happy scene.

Anempathetic sound - Means it doesnt give the mood of the scene in the background E.g funeral scene playing a happy tune.

Room Tone / Wild Track - the definition of Room Tone And Wild Track is the sound effects in the background e.g cups clashing, car horns, people talking and cutlery.

Foley - Is like Room Tone and Wild Track but Foley Effects are more closer into to the surroundings of a scene such as squeaky doors, foot steps and breaking glass.

Monday 12th september Dee's class

we had to start off by making the word "body" different sizes by putting a <h1> and </h1> at the beginning and ending of the word. h1 being the biggest and h3 being the smallest.

then we had to make the word "body" bold writing by putting <b> and </b> also between to <h1> and </h1>.

In the third picture we had to make the medium sized word italic font by putting <i> Body </i>.

Then we had to make a list doing this we put <ol> at the top of the list and </ol> at the bottom of the list and next to the list on each line we put <li> and </li> at the end.

Monday 29th august - Dee's Class

Week-1 i started off college with a introduction to the course. I got enrolled and met my teachers i also learned a bit about the course.
On Monday 22nd of August it was my first day in class we had core skills, our teacher introduced us to what we will be doing for the next year, we also had to introduce ourselves to our class mates.
LDW - we got to know our lecturer and played a game so she could get to know us and we played a game called ( truth truth lie ).
Art and Design - we again got introduced to a cover teacher who took our class that week and he showed us how to use the macs and we watched a animation tv programme (pixar).
On Thursday we had art and design with Jane Paterson. She explained our topic over the next couple of months was going to be on the Helix Programme told us about it. Also we done a colour wheel by mixing different colours to make new ones.
In the afternoon we had Introduction to creative industries with Rob McDermott - he went over some rules and what we would be studying over the next year and our different activities we will be doing and also researching the Helix Programme.
On Friday we had John McCall, he showed us how to use macs, make music and youtube converter he told us some of his latest work. we made music and made a video to go along with our music.
